3G Artificial Grass Pitch

PLEASE NOTE: Your Code only works for the duration of your booking so you must leave the 3G pitch promptly at the end of your scheduled time slot.

To book the Whaley Bridge Floodlit Third Generation (3G) Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP) or for any enquiries, please fill in the form below. This is one of the most advanced all-weather playing surfaces in the country, a £158,000 facility funded by grants from the Football Foundation and Sport England, coupled with £19,600 of local funding including £8000 raised by WBAFC.

Off Peak times 09:00 - 16:30 (Monday to Friday)

Peak Times 17:00 - 21:30 (Monday to Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday)

a) To be certain of securing a slot, please book one week in advance. We will do our best to process your booking as soon as possible (the office opening times are 9.00am-12.00pm weekdays only).

b) Check the booking Calendar and select the slot(s) you wish to hire.

c) Complete the booking form

d) Make sure that the booking form is completed correctly giving times of hire from and to.

e) Bookings must be paid for in advance

Pay in person at the Council Offices between the hours of 0900-1230hrs Monday to Friday
Pay by cheque; cheque payable to Whaley Bridge Sports Association

f) As soon as payment is received then the slot will be allocated and confirmed via email

g) Cancellation – If you wish to cancel your booking after confirmation, 24hours notice must be given to ensure refund of your payment.

h) If you encounter any problems with the 3G when you play, these must be reported within 24 hours.

The floodlit AGP surface is a 40mm third generation(3G) pitch using the latest FieldTurf Revolution surface. It is one of the most modern and advanced surfaces in the country. Although football is the predominant sport, there are indoor hockey markings and rebound boards for hockey, and we welcome any other sports and activities which are suitable for the surface. As long as the right footwear is used, then it is also available, along with the associated pavillion, for parties and other events. Please indicate your proposed use in the form below.
